Our helpline is here to help your patients
In these challenging times, the Versus Arthritis Helpline is here to support you to help your patients. We can help ease the pressure on you by providing your patients with information and support on their musculoskeletal condition. We can help them to better understand their condition, including self-management and treatment options.
We cover a range of arthritis-related topics such as understanding your condition, medication and treatment options, issues with work, benefits available, self-help (healthy eating, exercise, complementary therapies etc.), surgery and the latest evidence-based research.
Our advisors are trained and have many years’ experience of supporting people living with arthritis. They can signpost your patients, find tips and strategies to help manage their condition, as well as signpost to our online community where they can speak to others who are also living with arthritis
We also have access to interpreters if English is not their first language.
We have received very positive feedback from our service users, including two quotes below:
“I’m so very grateful and impressed with the useful information that you gave me in our 15-minute call. You have no idea how much hope this has given me; I no longer feel helpless. My condition was new to me and I didn’t know what to do. Your advice and information mean I can now speak to my doctor and rheumatologist about what I need to manage my condition.”
“I was at a dead end following my diagnosis. I called the helpline and spoke to the most wonderfully kind, helpful, empathetic and compassionate person I have spoken to in a long time. She helped me find so much information and took time to listen. She really was the light in a dark tunnel.”
Please signpost your patients to our Helpline. It is open from 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. They can call us free on 0800 5200 520.
