Hypothenar transverse scan

The patient sits, hand supinated, arm supported. The transducer is placed transversely over the ulnar aspect at the base of the hypothenar eminence. Skin and subcutaneous tissues, abductor digiti minimi muscle and underlying fifth metacarpal shaft are visualised.
