About us

We have made a commitment in our Diversity and Inclusion Strategy to increase the diversity of our charity and we welcome candidates from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences.  We want our employees, volunteers and trustees to represent the broad diversity of the communities of which we are a part.

There are over 10 million people living with arthritis. That’s one in six, with over half of those living in pain every single day. The impact is huge as the condition slowly intrudes on everyday life – affecting the ability to work, care for a family, to move free from pain and to live independently. Yet arthritis is often dismissed as an inevitable part of ageing or shrugged off as ‘just a bit of arthritis’. We don’t think that this is okay. Versus Arthritis is here to change that.

Versus Arthritis is committed to keeping children, young people and vulnerable adults safe from harm. During the recruitment process we will undertake safer recruitment practices and relevant checks to ensure applicants are suitable to work with children, young people and vulnerable adults.

Gwybodaeth amdanom ni

Rydyn ni wedi ymrwymo i’n Strategaeth Amrywiaeth a Chynhwysiant i gynyddu amrywiaeth ein helusen ac rydym yn croesawu ymgeiswyr o amrywiaeth eang o gefndiroedd a phrofiadau. Rydym yn dymuno i’n cyflogwyr, ein gwirfoddolwyr a’n hymddiriedolwyr gynrychioli amrywiaeth eang y cymunedau rydyn ni’n rhan ohonynt.

Mae dros 10 miliwn o bobl yn byw gydag arthritis. Dyna un o bob chwech ac mae dros hanner ohonynt yn byw mewn poen bob dydd. Mae’r effaith yn enfawr wrth i’r cyflwr ymwthio’n araf i fywyd o ddydd i ddydd – gan effeithio ar y gallu i weithio, i ofalu am deulu, i symud yn rhydd o boen ac i fyw yn annibynnol. Er hyn, yn aml caiff arthritis ei ddiystyru fel rhan anochel o heneiddio neu ei anwybyddu fel ‘dim ond tipyn bach o arthritis’. Nid ydym yn meddwl bod hyn yn iawn. Mae Versus Arthritis yma i newid hynny.

Mae Versus Arthritis wedi ymrwymo i gadw plant, pobl ifanc ac oedolion sy’n agored i niwed yn ddiogel rhag niwed. Yn ystod y broses recriwtio, byddwn yn cynnal ymarferion recriwtio mwy diogel a gwiriadau perthnasol i sicrhau bod ymgeiswyr yn addas i weithio gyda phlant, pobl ifanc ac oedolion sy’n agored i niwed.
